We have become all so professional. But sometimes I wonder if we have not become all too much so. Sometimes, maybe, all we need to receive, to give, is the gift of presence. Not offering any process towards resolution. Not offering any guidance, assurances, roads to reconciliations, healings or even hope. Just presence in the space with the holder of that space. Not to fix, not to disentangle, not to correct, adjust, revise, improve … just to be … with … respectfully … professionally unprofessionally, humanly … real.
