In our world, wealth is measured by the monetary value of your possessions, real-estate, investments, money in the bank and available cash. that is the currency of our world, and the more you are ‘worth’ the higher up the food chain you will find yourself. but what is God’s currency? what does God value most? what makes you rich in God’s order? I wonder where money and stuff rate with God? I wonder if there isn’t greater value, in God’s eyes, in what we give away, of our wealth, of our time, of our hearts, of our skills, of our ‘selves’ rather in how much we actually keep for ourselves? I wonder if, to God, spent, broken and poured out isn’t worth more than rich, powerful, successful and important.
You highlighted a very important question that we should ask from us.
Personally, I do not believe in more money means great riches.

i agree with you Emotions Passion, though it’s not just more money that’s the problem for me, it’s that wanting everything to line up so that i am in control, it’s that i hoard against the ‘in case something happens” rather than extend generosity …
