It is so easy to think ourselves as smarter or better or even wiser in our own context. it’s so easy to think we know it all and that we can solve problems simply. but I wonder if it were all turned upside down for us? I wonder if we were picked up and dropped into a totally foreign context. would we still think ourselves so clever? would we still think ourselves so wise? would we still be able to solve everything so easily as we can solve everything for everyone else right now? perhaps humility in our own context is the greater knowledge and wisdom and perhaps, this greater knowledge and wisdom might lead us towards a more willing demonstration of graciousness, kindness and respectfulness.
