I asked God what I must do to grow in love and be more like you? he replied and said to me ‘Just love the least of these like me’. So, I went out and looked about to find the least of these around and there, next door, I saw a man broken sad and burdened down. he looked at me reached out his hand but to his plea I would not bend. I want to find the very worst but not so close where it would hurt. I want a space to keep me safe so, I can live my life so free and tick the box God set for me.
are you like me wanting to serve God wanting to serve the least of these but only on your terms only when and where it’s comfortable …

Who are we trying to please? God or ourselves. Or by pleasing ourselves are we also pleasing God ? I think that is a very important consideration.
Who do we most want to love, those closest to us who we know yearn for it? or a soul in need who we haven’t yet met?
If we can answer these questions then it is clear we can be more like God and grow in love.
